Villardompardo`s Palace and the Arab baths, Jaen

Category: Ancient architecture Location: Jaen Longtitude: -3.79431725 Latitude: 37.77096068 Villardompardo`s Palace is one of the most important monument in Jaen. It is located in the old Moorish quarter of the city - the Magdalena quarter. The palace was built in 1592 and it sits on top of the Arab baths (Banos Arabes). The Baths dating back to XI century and were built during the reign of Abd Al Rahman III. They are the largest preserved in Spain and a significant remnants of the Moorish era of Andalusia. Share
