Collserola tower (Torre de Collserola in Spanish) is located in the wooded Collserola hills high above city of Barcelona. The design of the building is of Sir Norman Foster.
The tower was built in 1992 for the Olympic Games in Barcelona. It was used to transmit images from the games around the world. At its 20-th floor there is a restaurant, a mirador and observation desk from where there is a wonderful panoramic view over the city and sierra covering a radius of some 70 kilometres on a clear day.
The Norman Foster`s Communication Tower has won many awards as FAD Award for Architecture in 1993.
