The monument to the Sacred Heart (of Jesus) is located at "Hill of the Angels" (Cerro de los Ángeles) in in Getafe, Spain, about 10 km  south of Madrid. It was built in 1919 to dedicate the country and inaugurated by king Alfonso XIII but was destroyed after several battles occurred on the hill during Spanish Civil War. After the war a new (bigger) version of the monument was constructed.

The area is very popular and visited by the citizens of Getafe. It is famous also because it is considered the geographic centre of the Iberian Peninsula.
