From 1982, the Museum of Prehistory in Valencia occupies part of the old House of Charities, built in 1841 and decorated in Byzantine style in 1881. In 1995 the building was complete restored by the architect Rafael Rivera. The Museum of Prehistory has a ground floor and two stories arranged around five courtyards. There are permanent and also multiple temporary exhibits where visitors can find different artifacts, ancient coins and pottery, statues, information about the life of the local people, maps, charts, objects, audio-visual guides, etc.
