Valencia´s bull ring is built in the mid-19th century as a compact brick cylinder, with four arch groups similar to the Roman Colisseum in Rome. The reason for this is the bullring's designer was Sebastián Monleón who used a Roman amphitheater in Nimes as his inspiration.

Next to the bull ring is The Bullfighting Museum with a collection of memorabilia of this ancient sport.
