The Pilar Festival (Fiestas del Pilar) is main annual festival of Zaragoza. It is celebrated every year on the 12th of October. During the week Zaragoza comes alive with music, parades, flowers, and theater in honor of the Virgin of Pilar who is the female patron saint of Spain.
