Picasso Tower (Torre Picasso) is a skyscraper in Madrid - the capital of Spain. It is 157 meters long (43 floors) and for the period 1988 - 2007 it was the tallest building in Madrid. The tower is designed by Minoru Yamasaki.
The building is known with other fact too: Shortly after 9/11, ETA confirmed their plan had been to use 2 van with 1,700 kg to blow down Torre Picasso but the action is averted by the Spanish Civil Guard who intercepted the vans driven by ETA members. The incident is known as "la caravana de la muerte" (the caravan of death).
