Carthusian monastery (Monasterio de la Cartuja) is located about 2 kilometers from the center of Granada. It was founded in XVI-th - XVII-th centuries by order of Gonzalo Fernandez de Cordoba, the Great Captain, on an ancient Arab carmen. The monastery contains a beautiful XVII-th century Baroque church and a beautiful cloister.
