The church of Santa Catalina is located in the historic centre of Sayalonga at Plaza de la Constitución. It was built in the XVI Century on the site where there had been a mosque dating
from olden times. The church has an octagonal tower in the Mudeja style which is typical in Province of
Malaga.
The carving of the Virgen del Rosario dating from the XVIII century is a magnificent piece done by the Granadario school.
