Poble Espanyol de Montjuic

Poble Espanyol is located in quarter of Montjuic, Barcelona. It is a mock-up village, displaying architecture and cultural diversity of most of the Spanish regions.
The village was built in 1929 as a showcase exhibition for Spanish arts and crafts. On an area of 49000m2 there are 17 buildings - architectural examples from Andalucia, Aragon, Asturias, Cantabria, Castille, Madrid, Murcia, Navarra, the Basque Country, the Belearic Isles, Galicia, Extremadura, Valencia and Catalonia.
For the tourists there are cafes, restaurants, museums, workshops and stores where they can see and buy typical Spanish arts and crafts.
