The food-market Santa Caterina is locatedin in one of the oldest districts of Barcelona - El Born. The site has very attractive, playful and contemporary design - a work of Enric Miralles.and Benedetta Tagliabue, who designed also the attractive building of the Gas Natural Tower.

There can be bought different sea foods, fresh fish, embutidos (cured meats), cheeses, fruit and vegetables, bakers, olive.  The market has also florists, butchers, cookware shops, restaurants and fast-foods which are serving tapas.
