Logrono festival Saint Barnabas (San Bernabé) is celebrated annually on June 11. It is commemorating the victory and resistance of Logroño against French invaders under Francis I that stated of siege the city in May and June of 1521.
During the event typically is served a fried fish(trout) with bread and wine - that was the food of Logroño residents during the French invasion.
