Lucentum is the name of the Roman predecessor of the city of Alicante. This archaeological site covers an area of some 30000m2. The most noticeable features are the remains of the fortifying wall with pre-Roman defensive towers, the baths, the forum, part of the Muslim necropolis, and a multitude of houses.
