The statue of King Alfonso III is situated in town of Mao, Island of Minorka, the Balearic Islands archipelago. It was erected in 1950 in memory of King Alfonso III, who conquered the island of Minorca from the Muslims in 1287. The monument was built from the Catalan sculptor Frederic Marés.
