Museum of Minorca in town of Mao is situated into a beautiful building in Baroque style. It was an old Franciscan convent that was dis-entailed in 1835 and since then has housed a secondary school, the public library, the orphanage and nowadays - the museum.
The museum contains an important archaeological and artistic collection.
