What to see in Municipality Frigiliana

This relic of the Moorish occupation was constructed probably around the XI-th century as a military fortress on top of hill top near village of Frigiliana. The citadel took up a surface area of 4000m2. In 1569 there were played the final bloody scenes of the Battle of the Rock of Frigiliana, during which the Catholic kings defeated the last of the Moors.
