The Museu del Jamon (Ham museum) in town of Arecena displays an exhibition about the town and habits of local people. Interesting facts in the museum are related with breeding of pigs in the past when they feed in the open woods and pasture and eating oak acorns. From them locals were prepared sea salt cured hams considered some of the finest in Spain.
