What to see in Municipality Valencia

The big firework festival Fallas is organized in Valencia (and some neighbour towns and villages) in early spring (March 15-19) every year. The term Falles refers to both the celebration and the figures created during the celebration. The figures joke about faults in the society - scoffing at politicians, officials and celebrities - before bursting into flames. In the last night (19th of March), all the Fallas-Sculptures get simultaneously burned to the cheers of the crowd. Thus is commemorated the coming of spring.
