Plaza de la Corredera
Type: Square
Today a moderately-sized modern city, Plaza de la Corredera is Cordoba’s square which once was a Roman amphitheatre. Later it became the site of Inquisition burnings, then a bullring and finally a hangout for Cordoba’s druggies.
This square has undergone massive reconstruction in the recent years. There is the ruined Roman temple under restoration which is just at the side of the town hall.
Nowadays Plaza de la Corredera is the gathering place for all Cordoba citizens who want to welcome the New Year out in the open.
