Tamariu is a small resort in municipality of Palafrugell. Originally a fishing village, its name is derived from the Tamarind trees that line the promenade. It`s sheltered, sandy beach (faced south) is awarded Blue Flag and is popular with families. Beyond here, the coast has good places for diving with caves to explore as well as the submerged mountain known as Llosa de Cala Nova.
