The palace of San Jeronimo, also known as Estudio Viejo was built in the 12th century, odered by the archbishop of Fonseca and, originally, it was not located in this square, but it was close to the San Martin Pinario`s convent, in the north side of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.
