Nature reserve of Albufera of Majorca

S `Albufera Nature Reserve lies in the north of Majorca, in l`Alcúdia bay, few kilometers Nort-East of town of Muro. It is a marshy coastline formed by lakes and natural and artificial canals and is the most important wetland in the Balearic Islands. There are over 400 different species of flora, include: martens, weasels, tortoises and the calopet, amongst others. However, birds dominate this open space, namely the marsh harrier, little bittern, black-winged stilt, purple heron, `vascon` and moustached warbler. Over 230 Species have been sighted there, which is 80% of all birdlife known in the Balearics.
