The Museo Comarcal Velezano Miguel Guirao is located in town Velez-Rubio and was created by an initiative of D. Miguel Guirao Perez and his family. It is hosted in the old Royal Hospital building (dates back to 1765). In the Miguel Guirao Museum are exibited a valuable collection of thousands of classified findings and pieces ranging from the earliest prehistoric cultures to more modern ethnographic objects.
