What to see in Municipality Alhama de Granada

Church of the Incarnation (Encarnacion) in Alhama de Granada was built on the former great mosque of which the foundation stones can still be seen on the southern façade.

Church has elements in mixed style and it has a baroque portal and Gothic facade decorated with gargoyles and fantasy animals. The fairly simple interior is topped with a cross vault that is fairly complex. Standing in the sacristy, the museum contains some priceless 16C priest`s clothes.
