The Parish Church of our Lady of the Assumption in town of Sax was built between 1530 and 1550 and was extended later in 1789, when the side chapels were removed which enlarged the sanctuary and the extension consisted of a new vault.
The church is one of the finest examples of the Catalan influenced single nave church.
