This castle is situated on the high rocky hill overlooking town of Belmez.
In the 15th Century, Córdoba was an important point in the culmination of the Reconquest. The Belmez castle turned itself into an important zone of control since in the Grenade war, support was asked to certain castellanas cities, to face the Nazari contingent.
