The natural reserve "Torcal of Antequera" (El Torcal de Antequera) is located in the Sierra del Torcal mountain range, about 30 km north of Málaga city in the direction of Antequera (A45 road), near the village of Villanueva de la Concepción. It is known for it`s unusual limestone rock formations that makes impression of a other planet.
The region is home of good variety of wildflowers which includes some thirty varieties of orchid.
