What to see in Municipality Almunecar

Castillo de San Miguelis is main tourist attraction of Almunecar. It stands above the village. The castle is built on the base of Moorish fortress after the Christians re-took Almunecar from the Moors around 1489, but there  was a fortress since the Roman era....

The Roman aqueduct in Almunecar is built in the 1st century AD. The parts of this site are in very good condition, including the impressive 200 foot long section with twin tiers of arches....
